Join Fund IRL Youth Voices
Raise your voice. Your story can make a difference.
Your story can help more young people get what they need in real life. Across the country, young people are finding connection, confidence and support through programs, mentors, teams and places where they belong. Fund IRL Youth Voices is bringing those stories together to help show why these opportunities matter and why more young people should have access to them.
You don’t need to be a public speaker, content creator or influencer. If a person, program or place has made a difference in your life, we want to hear from you.
How can I get involved?
Whatever feels most comfortable to you. You can:
- Record a short video, about 20–90 seconds.
- Share a photo and tell us why it matters.
- Write a short quote, reflection or story.
- Contact the Fund IRL communications team or your state coordinator for media, event, speaking opportunities!
>> Please share anything you capture using the dedicated Google Form. We aren’t looking for polished videos or rehearsed speeches. We want real people telling real stories. Talk like you’re talking to a friend. Laugh. Be yourself. Show us the places and people that make your community special.

Need ideas?
Think about the people and places that make life better when you’re offline. That could be an afterschool program, sports team, dance studio, robotics club, community center, art class, mentor, faith community, summer camp or somewhere else you feel supported and like you belong.
You could respond to questions like:
- What does real-life connection mean to you?
- What place makes you forget about your phone because you’re having so much fun?
- Who has helped you become the person you are today?
- What’s something you’ve learned outside of school?
- Why should every young person have a place where they belong?
- Finish this sentence: “Every young person deserves…”
What’s in it for me?
Your voice could help shape conversations about investing in programs that support young people.
Build your portfolio or résumé with real advocacy and storytelling experience.
Meet other young leaders who care about making a difference.
Help more young people have access to the kinds of opportunities that have made a difference in your life.
Ready to share your story?
Your story can help people understand what young people need more of, from mentors and afterschool programs to teams, creative spaces and places to belong.
Thank you. One story may only take a few minutes to create. The impact could help inspire more opportunities for young people for years to come.
